Shaki Waterfall

Shaki waterfall formed on the Shaki River is considered one of the most beautiful sights and a popular place to visit in Armenia. According to legend, the waterfall was named after a girl named Shake, who escaped from the captivity of enemy invaders. When they tried to grab Shake, a rock appeared under the girl’s feet hiding her in the foaming streams of water.
