Megerian Carpet, Khor Virap, Areni-1 Cave, Noravank
On the second day of the trip you will visit the ancient Areni-1 cave, where, as a result of archaeological excavations, the oldest leather shoes in the world were discovered, as well as the ruins of the oldest winery, whose age is estimated by experts at 6000 years. You will also visit the Megerian Carpet museum-factory, where the guide will tell you about the history of traditional Armenian carpets creation and where you can buy souvenirs. In addition, you will climb the famous steep stairs of the Church of the Holy Virgin in Noravank monastery complex, built in one of the most picturesque places of the country, and visit Khor Virap Monastery, with which the history of the adoption of Christianity as the state religion of Armenia is associated.
Sevanavank Monastery (Lake Sevan), Old Dilijan, Haghartsin Monastery, Goshavank Monastery, Lake Parz
The third day of your holiday will be marked by a sightseeing tour to the Sevanavank Monastery erected on a hill and surrounded by the waters of the mountain Lake Sevan, as well as by a visit to the Haghartsin and Goshavank monasteries, which are of great cultural value for world architecture. You will also take a walk along the authentic Sharambeyan street in Old Dilijan and enjoy the beautiful nature near Lake Parz.
Garni Temple, Geghard Monastery, Charents Arch, lavash baking masterclass, Levon's Divine Underground
On the fourth day of the trip you will see the treasures of ancient and modern architecture of Armenia — the pagan Temple of Garni also called “Armenian Parthenon”, Geghard Monastery, where, according to legend, the spear pierced the body of Jesus Christ was kept, as well as the unique cave created by the skillful hands of master Levon during 23 years. On the way from Yerevan to Garni you will stop at the Charents Arch — a stone structure, from where one of the best panoramas of Armenia opens.
Tatev Monastery, Areni Winery (wine testing), Shaki Waterfall, Old Khndzoresk
On the fifth day of the trip you will see the masterpiece of Armenian architecture — the Tatev Monastery surrounded by incredibly beautiful wooded mountains, overcome the huge suspension bridge in Old Khndzoresk village and discover interesting facts about the life of people who settled in local caves, feel the coolness of the picturesque Shaki Waterfall and taste wine at Areni Winery.
Amberd Fortress, Lake Kari, Armenian Alphabet Monument, Saghmosavank Monastery, Hovhannavank Monastery
On the sixth day you will visit the medieval Amberd Fortress, which impresses with its powerful walls and the beauty of the surrounding mountain landscape, Hovhannavank Monastery, which once was a major cultural center, where philosophy, music and calendar art were studied, Saghmosavank Monastery, where manuscripts were created and stored many centuries ago, as well as the amazing Armenian Alphabet Monument, where everyone can traditionally be photographed with their gigantic stone initials. The most enjoyable moment of the tour will be the rest on the banks of the Kari River, the mirror surface of which reflects the snowy peaks of the surrounding mountains.
