Yerevan city tour, Etchmiadzin (Mother Cathedral, St. Gayane, St. Hripsime), Zvartnots Cathedral

Acquaintance with Armenia will begin with the Yerevan city tour, then you will go to the city of Echmiadzin, which is the spiritual center of Armenians and Christians from around the world. In Echmiadzin you will visit the mother church of the Armenian Apostolic Church — Etchmiadzin Cathedral, as well as churches built in honor of the martyrs St. Gayane and St. Hripsime, persecuted from Rome for their adherence to Christianity. On the way from Echmiadzin to the capital you will have a stop at the Zvartnots Cathedral, the amazing architecture of which laid the foundation for a new style in world art.

Garni Temple, Geghard Monastery, Charents Arch, lavash baking masterclass, Levon's Divine Underground

On the third day of the trip you will have the opportunity to see the only building in the Hellenistic style on the territory of the former Soviet Union — the pagan Temple of Garni, unique underground cave of the skilled craftsman Levon, who created it for a quarter of a century, and also participate in a master class on cooking Armenian bread lavash and take beautiful pictures at the Charents Arch, from where a stunning view of the mountains opens.

Sevanavank Monastery (Lake Sevan), Old Dilijan, Haghartsin Monastery, Goshavank Monastery, Lake Parz

On the fourth day of the holiday you will travel to the legendary Lake Sevan, where the medieval Sevanavank Monastery (“Black Monastery”) built of black tuff rises on a high hill. You will also visit Sharambeyan street in Old Dilijan otherwise known as the “street of artisans”, see unique monuments of Armenian architecture — the medieval Goshavank Monastery and Haghartsin Monastery, as well as enjoy the beauty of Lake Parz surrounded by dense forests.

Tatev Monastery, Areni Winery (wine testing), Shaki Waterfall, Old Khndzoresk

On the fifth day of the tour you will visit the Tatev Monastery, which was one of the largest spiritual centers in Armenia in the past, plunge into the mystical atmosphere of the Old Khndzoresk village, in the caves of which almost 15,000 people lived several decades ago, as well as take part in the tasting of local wine at the Areni Winery and rest at the fabulously beautiful Shaki Waterfall, the origin of which is associated with many legends.
